Client Scenario and Objectives:

The client had a low molecular weight heparin already on the market, and wanted to monitor competitive activities on a continuous basis.

The potential of missing important data was a major concern to the client because competitive drugs could be presenting in a number of different therapeutic areas which the client had little or no in-house expertise covering and tracking.


Solutions:

The Clinical Intelligence team provided an in-depth Competitor Preview that enabled the client to monitor all relevant competitors on a monthly basis, with regards both to currently marketed drugs and drugs in development.

The client gained the ability to view competitive abstracts from cross-therapeutic activity occurring at medical meetings and information which would not have surfaced based on the past strategies of the client.

The Competitor Preview identified several meetings, previously not known to the client, where the client's own key opinion leaders acted as speakers. This enabled the client to update relevant slide kits for these speakers in a targeted and timely manner.

In addition, the client was able to identify several opportunities to communicate key data to their target physicians from the newly discovered medical meeting activities.


Client Payoff:

The client achieved an increase in market share based on the ability to be on top of relevant activities from medical meetings and published literature alike.

The client gained the ability to monitor pipeline products and continue to modify their own clinical trials in a proactive manner, based on identification of future market trends, threats and challenges.
